Deputy Restaurant Manager - Havant, South West
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of quality service in the hotel bar and restaurant , through maintaining the highest possible standards.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Customers • To create and nurture a culture which ensures a focus on creating a great experience in the restaurant. • Create proactive management systems and procedures to ensure the business delivers all its key performance indicators including Wet/Dry GP, labour ratio and contribution. • Recruit, train and motivate the team. • Ensuring any guest problems is resolved swiftly and efficiently.
TEAM • Providing an atmosphere where the team feels respected and rewarded and communication is open and honest including the mentoring of the management team. • Ensure team welfare is being monitored. • Ensure that your team are well equipped and personally motivated to provide exceptional service to customers.Control of team turnover by establishing good team management practices in line with Human Resources policies and overcome any skills gaps through the training function.
COMPANY • Providing both improved qualitative and quantitative results (QI, Applause, TEQ, Payroll efficiencies etc.). • Be able to assist in the management of a monthly P&L budget whilst ensuring that your team have all the tools to do their job. • Be involved in the planning of capital expenditure. • Ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained including all prime safety reports are up to date and accurate. • Ensuring all necessary Company paperwork is completed in line with internal and external policies and procedures. • Effective and efficient resource control and management.
The successful candidate should: • Have a passion to succeed and deliver exceptional customer service in a results driven environment • Be able to focus on the detail and prioritise to ensure the biggest positive impact. • Demonstrate the ability to serve consistently food and drink to the highest standard possible. • Strong communication skills to allow good relationships between customers and team • Have the correct experience and skills to effectively manage a large team. • Hold a personal license.
