Cisco Network Consultant/Engineer for a leading telecoms company in London. Must have strong network hardware and associated software (transceivers, repeaters, Hubs, bridges, Routers, Switches and gateways). Will also have in depth knowledge of IP protocols. Any SNA a plus. Will also have good implementation and management of Cisco PIX Firewalls, Cisco VPN concentrators, VPN design and Checkpoint Firewalls. Ideally will have One or more of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP and both CCSP and CCSE (Checkpoint). Excellent knowledge of network security technologies and processes including intrusion detection and good understanding of major network operating systems. Will be responsible for planning, implementation problem resolution, maintenance and upgrades to network security and equipment. We are not looking for someone with skills in network operating systems but someone with WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and Ethernet experience.
